Ruger is a 2 year old German Shepherd with a tremendous passion for working in the RV Park Industry. In his one year of service here at Deer Grove, he has learned and acquired many skills that make him a very valuable asset to our leadership team. Some of these skills include growling at customers, getting the zoomies, going on W-A-L-K’s, and shedding all over our office. He was recently promoted to Quality Control Supervisor for any breakfast, lunch or dinner here at Deer Grove, where he selflessly samples everyone’s food to make sure it is safe and delicious to eat.
When recently asked to comment on what he loves most about his job, Ruger said “Can I have some more of those potato chips?”
We are lucky to have such a talented, motivated employee and look forward to many more years of his devotion to the RV Park world!
I am 14 years old. My forever Momma adopted me when I was 13 years old. I couldn’t be happier. I live at the RV park with my Momma and my 4 cats.
When you see me in the park, don’t be afraid to give me attention. As, I will “Ham it up” hence my name.
If you pass by our home, while I’m outside, and don’t stop to give me pets, you will probably hear me grumble “Pardon my French” a few times.
As you will notice my tongue is too big for my mouth. That’s because it’s will be used for all the kisses I want to give you.
Momma says I have selective hearing. All I can say is – maybe! She forgets I am the princess. She is not.
My favorite past time is splooting my chunky thighs in the sun and rolling in the grass and dirt. However, every time I try to enjoy myself, momma says Hammy, you’re supposed to be white She gives me a bath. Not sure what that that has to do with me enjoying myself?
What’s my favorite treat, you ask? Every snack you make; Every meal you bake; Every bite you take; I will be watching you.

DO NOT TURN OFF THE 20 AMP BREAKER FOR ANY REASON. The heating rod in the hydrant, which is plugged into the 20 amp electric service, is essential to prevent freezing. If you turn it off and the hydrant freezes, you will be charged for the necessary repairs.
We winterized our hydrants. A heating rod has been put down the center of the hydrant. It is plugged into the 20 amp
electric service.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT THE HEATER ROD TO AVOID DAMAGE! The heater rod is a critical component of our winterization system. Improper handling can lead to bending, breaking, or other damage, which you will be responsible for repairing. Please follow all guidelines carefully to ensure the heater rod functions properly and to avoid unnecessary costs.
• DO NOT TURN OFF THE 20 AMP BREAKER FOR ANY REASON. If you leave your site and turn it off, you will be charged for repairs if the hydrant freezes.
• Handle the Heater Rod with Care: Follow the instructions carefully to avoid bending or breaking the rod. If you break it, you will be responsible for the repair costs.
If you are leaving, use the extension valve to turn off the water, not the main valve. If you must turn off the main valve, pull up on the rubber suction cup in the center to avoid twisting and damaging the heater rod.
• Heat tape and insulate your hoses, water pressure valves, and filters. Alternatively, remove the filters and valves to prevent freezing and potential explosions.
• If you fail to winterize your equipment and it causes damage to the hydrant or water meter, you will be responsible for the repair costs.
• If you choose to unhook from the water service, do so from the park’s water hydrant. Hoses, reducers, and filters retain water that can freeze and cause damage.
• If your RV freezes internally, disconnect from the hydrant to prevent damage when it thaws.
• If you leave for any amount of time, you must unhook from the hydrant.
• Do not run water to prevent freezing. The park monitors water usage, and guests found running water will be disconnected. If you turn it back on, you will be asked to leave or pay an extra $100 per month for water loss.
• Properly winterize all exposed equipment to prevent freezing and damage.
• Follow all guidelines to avoid additional charges and ensure a safe environment during the winter months.
AGAIN – DO NOT TURN OFF THE 20 AMP BREAKER FOR ANY REASON.
• You may not use hay bales. If you use Styrofoam, it must be secured and when you dispose of it, it must be bagged and not
just thrown in the dumpster.
• If you put up skirting, you will need to find a way to dispose of it when you leave. Throwing it in the dumpster is not
allowed, unless it is broke down into small pieces.
• If you are leaving for the holidays, please turn off.
